ABOUT THE FARM

This coffee was grown, harvested, and processed by the ASOPEP (Asociación de Productores Agropecuarios de Café Especial de Planadas) cooperative of farmers in Tolima, Colombia. The organization has had problems with access to financing, due in part to the violence that once plagued the Tolima region, creating the perception of a hostile place for investors. ASOPEP has worked hard to rewrite their history, fracturing past perceptions and building a new reputation based on reliability, quality, and transparency. Young women and men from the area work their quality control lab, painstakingly cupping coffees to ensure the best product possible. 

LIGHT WORK

The Colombian Tolima is the third edition to our new labeling system. "Light Work" was chosen for our light roast coffees for it's ability to make heavy workloads a little less heavy. The coffee won't do your work for you but it will make it easier.
