ZZZCAF | Peru | Decaf

You asked and we listened! We're proud to announce the latest addition to our growing coffee line up -- ZZZCAF! All the fun and flavor of a great single origin coffee without the "ahhh why am I still awake at 12am!?" frustration. This coffee is a delightful medium roast that features a sweety, syrupy texture with notes of honey and milk chocolate. 

Our first decaffeinated option is a washed Swiss Water Process* (more on that in a moment) from Cajamarca, Peru. The coffee was exported by Perunor -- a company that helps increase market access to farmers who lack the means to sell their products internationally. In addition, Perunor also helps farmers become Fair Trade and Organic certified, which this coffee is. 

*Swiss Water Processing is chemical-free and organic method of removing caffeine from coffee. The coffee is soaked in a green coffee extract solution for a period of 8 hours and then repeatedly passed through charcoal filters until the 99.9% of the caffeine has been removed. SWP gets its name from the country in which it originated, Switzerland, in the 1980s.
